Hi all! This is another important update:Currently we have 90 members, and about 40% are inactive members. We are planning to remove those who are not actively coming down for the sessions. (those with skates and without). When I say inactive I mean those whose attendance are below 50%.
For rental people: I think some of our skaters will be messaging you to ask if you are still willing to continue to skate with us.
PLEASE REPLY BY FRIDAY IF YOU WISH TO STAY ON! If you are removed from the list, all attendance and SEAL points will be void. If you choose to stay on, please make an effort to turn up for training session. What you get from the skating session depends on what you are willing to learn.
For those with skates:I think the message will not be sent to you. Please check the blog for further updates. Thanks.
Secondly, I would like to emphasize this point again. Although we are not an official CCA in TP, we are still an official Interest group/Club. SEAL points are awarded for those who turn up regularly as well as other benefits. Though we uphold a lighter mood for training most of the time as compared to other CCAs or IG, we still hope you put in a 100% effort during trainings and commit when it is needed. As I said earlier, what you get from the training is dependent on what you are willing to learn.
For those who are still learning basics: If you have any queries, don't hesitate to ask the regulars or any seniors. I'm sure they are more than happy to help. Understand that we cannot be always beside you or looking at you (it's just weird...) So when in need, please please ask.
For slalomers/sliders: Ask if you can, I'm happy that most of you are asking when in need and not just trying to find a way to fly. But self-learning will still be a better way to learn, then ask on how to improve.
For regulars: I'm sure you've noticed we don't have the coach system implemented after term test? That is used when there is a lot of people. Now you are allowed to train on Tuesdays, but a small favor to ask is that if you see someone struggling on their skating, help him or her. Don't wait for another person to approach. You don't have to be at their side there all the time. If you feel that they can be on their own then it is fine.
Check the blog more often :D
